Band
CONCERT BAND
Concert Band performs at concerts, competitions, all-school masses, graduation and festivals throughout the year. The band has had a long tradition of receiving Excellent and Superior ratings at its festivals. Several of its members have auditioned and performed in the SCKMEA district band and the KSMEA all-state band. In the Spring, students also participate in the KSHSAA Solo and Ensemble Festivals.
In previous years, the band has traveled to Colorado Springs, Dallas, San Antonio and Chicago for concert performance competitions.
MARCHING BAND - SCREAMIN' EAGLES MUSIC CORPS
Known as the Screamin' Eagle Music Corp, the BCCHS marching/pep band performs at all home football and basketball games as well as attending marching competitions in fall. This part of band focuses on keeping the crowd entertained at events.
During the first part of the year, the Screamin' Eagles have required early morning practices to help prepare for their competitions in the fall. This also allows us to practice as a full band with colorguard on the turf.
