Scholars Bowl is a fast-paced team academic competition that challenges students' knowledge in math, science, language arts, social sciences, fine arts, current events, foreign language, and other subjects. Practices focus on building knowledge, quick recall, teamwork, and competition skills.

The team competes in varsity and JV meets throughout the season, which typically runs from September through February. BC also hosts several competitions, including JV/Novice meets and the Tournament of Champions.

Students may join at any point during the season and are asked to attend at least two of the four weekly practices. Students participating in a fall sport are welcome to join once their season concludes.
