Dale Faber returns to BCCHS while continuing his position at Friends University as Assistant Athletic Director of Development.  Faber coached at BCCHS for 12 seasons from 1987-1999 and then was an assistant coach one year at Wichita State with Randy Smithson.  His recent coaching experience was at Friends University as the Head Men’s Coach.  He won 294 games in his 18 seasons, including seven trips to the NAIA national championships.  He was a two-time KCAC coach of the year and took his program to the NAIA national tournament seven times.  During his tenure at BCCHS he lead the program to winning records in eight of his last nine seasons including trips to the state tournament and two top four finishes.  Coach Faber is also a member of the Wichita Sports and Friends University Hall of Fame.

"It is great to be able to return to Bishop Carroll. I am even more humbled than I was as a young coach by the opportunity to lead and to be a part of the Bishop Carroll community and its basketball program. I appreciate Mrs. Nielsen and Mr. Fraizer for this opportunity. In addition, this opportunity does not happen without the support of Dr. Carey and Dr. Ramseyer at Friends University. Being able to continue to work in the athletic department at Friends University continues to be a blessing.  Many things are different now from our first time leading the basketball program for the Golden Eagles. We are aware the core values of BC are still instilled daily and that has not and will not change. We truly believe that our team will be a great example of what it means to be a student-athlete at Bishop Carroll. The cherry on top is that Mrs. Nielsen has informed me that the statute of limitations has run out on the detentions that are still owed from my time as a student and a young coach at Bishop Carroll." - Dale Faber
