Marian Grotto Dedication Brings the Bishop Carroll Community Together

On November 1, 2025, a beautiful Saturday morning, nearly 200 members of the Bishop Carroll community—staff, students, donors, alumni, and benefactors—gathered to celebrate the long-awaited dedication of our Marian Grotto.

Led by Fr. John Jirak, Vicar General, the ceremony was a joyful moment of faith, gratitude, and community.

The BC Madrigals filled the air with stunning Marian hymns, creating a reverent atmosphere as students, families, and supporters reflected on the gift of Mary’s presence on our campus. Members of the Golden Eagle football team were also in attendance, representing the strength, unity, and tradition of our school community.

A highlight of the morning was the moment Grant Goebel placed a veil on Mary and a rosary in her hands; a touching full-circle moment since Grant first shared the idea of creating a Marian Grotto at Bishop Carroll years ago. Seeing him bring that vision to life made the dedication especially meaningful.

The dedication of the Marian Grotto stands as a testament to the generosity and faith of the BC community. We extend our deepest gratitude to all who helped bring this sacred space to life and to everyone who joined us for this special day. May the Grotto continue to be a place of peace, prayer, and inspiration for generations of Golden Eagles to come.
