Aquila Magazine

Aquila History

The original 1966 yearbook for Bishop Carroll High School was named ‘the Aquila’ (pronounced uh-KWIL-uh), which is Latin for “eagle.” In the 1970's the yearbook was renamed, and eventually the Aquila became an alumni newsletter. After years of being published in a newsletter format, the Spring 2016 edition saw a change to a magazine format, with full color spreads and more articles. In 2023, the Aquila is set to be offered 4 times a year; 3 digital editions and 1 print edition.
