    • All tests will be cumulative.  Tests will be announced and reviewed for during class.

Semester grades will be determined by the following:  .63(quizzes/test) + .27(homework) + .10(final).

Semester grades will be assigned according to the diocesan grading scale.

I will update grades weekly.  You will be able to view your grade through your middle school PowerSchool account.

Classroom Procedures
Be Prompt.  I will begin each class with grading homework from the previous day.  I know it is early, but please be in your seat ready to go at 7am!

Be Prepared:  Everyday you will need your book, a pencil, a red pen, and notebook paper.

Be Respectful.  You should be quiet and respectful while I am teaching or answering questions of others.  You may not leave your desk during instruction time.  If you have a question or would like to answer a question, you must raise your hand and wait to be called upon.  Please remember that you are in a shared learning environment and your actions affect those around you.  I will dismiss you at the end of class after all trash has been thrown away and desks returned to their places.

Cheating.  Cheating is defined as giving or receiving unauthorized aid on assignments, quizzes, or tests.  If you are caught participating in such behavior, you will receive a ZERO on that particular item.  YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO COMMUNICATE IN ANY FORM WITH OTHERS DURING A QUIZ OR TEST!!!

Absences.  If you are absent, you are responsible for missed notes and assignments.  Please contact another student from the class or email me for your assignment.  You can also check PowerSchool for your assignment.  Upon your return, you must turn in all work that was due on the day of your absence.  You will have three days to turn in all work you missed while you were gone.  If you are absent the day of a quiz or test, you can take it upon your return or schedule a time to come and take the quiz or test.  If you are absent the day before a quiz or test, you will be required to take the quiz/test on the assigned day.

Calculators.  Calculators will not be used in this class until further notice.

Extra Credit.  There will be opportunities for extra credit throughout the semester.
