Course Description:  This class will provide students with a variety of activities in which they will be actively participating in each day.  In addition, we will also examine many health issues that are impacting high school students and adults today.

Grading:

  • The grading for this class will consist of two areas, participation and written work.  Since the success of this class is dependent upon the participation of each and every student in the class, 60% of each quarter grade will come from your participation in class.  The other 40% will be based on your performance on tests, quizzes, and assignments that will be done throughout the year over the different units.
  • Each quarterly grade counts towards 45% of your semester grade while the final exam counts towards the remaining 10%.
  • Students may earn up to 5 points each day by fully participating in class.  These points are given for being correctly dressed out, attitude, and effort in the class activity each day.

Grading Scale:
93-100%…A
92-85%…B
84-76%…C
