Baseball Coaching Staff Pitching Stats Where They Have Gone Signings

The Eagles rebounded from a slow 5-4 start to a rally off 14 of the next 15 games all the way through the state title game.  The toughest hurdle was the semifinal game vs. the Topeka Seamen, who had defeated Carroll 2-1 in the 2004 playoffs.  Clutch hits by the 7 and 8 hole and hits by Brain Kruetzer and Daniel Howard backed up great pitching performances by Gage Stephen and Josh Bird.
The Championship game was started by Alex Kruse and closed again by Josh Bird. The Eagles clicked in all facets of the game. Great defensive plays were made by Brian Orth and Anthony Salinas.
This was the first state championship in baseball in the 40 year history of Bishop Carroll Catholic High School.  It was also the first state championship by a City League team in 25 years.
A special thanks go out to the coaching staff for all their hard work and to all those fans who made our season one to remember.
