Service Oppurtunities

Seniors looking for service opportunities
Sarah’s hope of Wichita is having a Giant Book Sale…Books for Life! Help is needed Saturday, April 7 at 10:00am with the pre sale set up. Assistance will also be need on days of sale.Sales are being held Saturdays, April 14, 21 & 28 from 7:30am to 6:30pm at 3601 N. St. Francis on the south side of building.

Attention any students needing service hours especially community service hours or students who are interested in Special Education we have an oppurtunity for you! Bishop Carroll had been contacted by Levy Special Education Center and they are in dire need of community help and service. If you are interested and willing to give of your time and talent pleace contact Kim with USD 259 at 973-3425 or 806-1511. You may also contact Mr. Schuckman in the main office for more information.

Volunteer opportunity for Juniors and Seniors Calling All Volunteers!
We need you!  Plans are underway for the Wichita’s first annual Walk to Cure Diabetes and we need YOUR HELP to make it happen!
Make a difference in the lives of the thousands of adults and children living with type 1 diabetes and be a part of history by volunteering at the first annual Walk to Cure Diabetes on Saturday April 28, 2012. 
We need volunteers to be a part of this annual event at Sedgwick County Park, including everything from manning rest stops, to help keeping an eye on the Walk route, to working registration, to working the Kids Zone…and more!
T-shirts will be provided for all volunteers.  There will be a mandatory volunteer orientation on Monday April 23 at 5:30pm, location TBD.  Information about the volunteer orientation will be provided to all registered volunteers. 
High school students can volunteer as well with a parent or guardian’s approval.  Service hour documentation will be provided upon request.

Volunteers needed for Saturday, April 21
Prairie Elementary School is needing volunteers to work our Fun Night this Saturday, April 21st 4-7pm. Volunteers will help work games. Any students that are available would be much appreciated. Volunteers are needed for 1 hour shifts or the entire 3 hour block. Volunteers would neeed to be here at 3:40if volunteering at 4 and can leave as soon as the games end at 7.
