Brent Holman- Assistant Coach

A 1985 graduate of Wichita North, Brent went on to pitch at Butler County Community College (86'-87') and finished his playing career at the University of Northern Colorado earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology (90'). Although, Brent will be the first to admit that he majored in baseball- which is a science all it's own!

Brent comes from a family full of ball players who, with the help of their father, became students of the game from a very early age in life. Brent's brother Brian was a 1st round draft pick out of Wichita North to the Montreal Expos in 1983. Taken 16th overall-3 spots ahead of Roger Clemens! Brian broke into the big leagues with the Expos in 88' and was traded (with Randy Johnson) to the Seattle Mariners in 1989. In 1990 Brian came one out away from pitching a perfect game againt the Oakland A's. His brother Brad was a 35th round pick of the Kansas City Royals in 1990 and eventually broke into the big leagues with the Mariners in 1993 where he and brother Brian were teammates. Currently, Brian is the Head Coach at Andale High School and Brad is a pitching coach in the Texas Rangers organization.

Professionally, Brent is a Captain with the Wichita Fire Department and member of the WFD Technical Rescue Team. Brent is also part of Task Force 5, Urban Search and Rescue(USAR) of South Central Kansas. Brent can be seen in the the hallways at Bishop Carroll from time to time as he is a substitute teacher on his days off from the fire station.

Personally, Brent is married to Lisa(Reichenberger-BC 89') and recently celebrated their 17th anniversary. The Holman's are members of St. Francis Parish and have 4 children- Seth, Samantha, Seger, and Shane.
