Attendance/Make-Up Policy:

We will cover about one section every class period.  You can expect to have a test every two and a half to three and a half weeks.  Assignments can be expected daily and are worth 10 points each.  Assignments should be completed by the beginning of the next class period.  When a student is absent, it is the responsibility of that student to make up their missed work and get any notes that were taken in class.  Work is expected to be made up in a reasonable time period (generally, within 2 days for 1 day missed).  If a student is absent on a test day or the day before a test, he/she should expect to take it on the day that he/she returns, provided an extended absence did not precede the test.

Other Classroom Policies:

  1. Late Work – Late papers will only receive half credit, and will be accepted up to the day that the next chapter’s test is taken.
  2. Cheating – Cheating will not be tolerated!  Students that are caught cheating or allowing others to cheat from their work will receive zero credit.
  3. Tardy – Do not be tardy!  Each student is required to be in class, seated and ready to work when the bell rings.
  4. Respect – Students will respect others, themselves and their surroundings.  There will be zero tolerance of insults, discrimination, destruction or other actions against others, self or surroundings.

Additional Information:

  1. The agenda book and only the agenda book will be used for passes.
  2. Food and drink are not allowed in class.
  3. Socialization will not be permitted during instruction time – YOU ARE HERE TO LEARN
  4. Raise your hand for help during class.  No one should be out of their seat without permission.
  5. Do not bring unrelated items to class, such as magazines, radios, pagers, phones, toys, nail polish, etc. I will confiscate them.
